Abstract
Security, search-and-rescue and industrial inspection applications increasingly use remote robots for safe observation of distant or hazardous zones. Adding metal detection enables locating metallic objects such as weapons, pipes or buried items while streaming video to the operator.
This project develops a Long Range Spy Robot with Metal Detection controlled via RF transmitter/receiver. Key subsystems include the wheeled chassis and drive motors, motor driver, long-range RF modules, wireless camera for live video, metal detector coil and signal processing, and battery power. The robot demonstrates integration of mechanics, electronics, RF communication and sensing suitable for academic evaluation.
It is an excellent final-year project for Mechatronics, Electronics, ECE, Robotics and Instrumentation students, combining fabrication, embedded control and wireless systems.
