Abstract

This project presents arduino people counter, an Arduino-oriented embedded-system concept for acquiring relevant inputs, processing them with a microcontroller, and producing a defined monitoring or control response. The input stage is designed around ir / vision / entry sensors, while the controller performs event detection and counting logic. This architecture provides a practical way to demonstrate sensing, embedded decision-making, timing, and hardware interfacing in a compact prototype.

The output stage provides count display / logging, with optional logging, user feedback, wireless connectivity, or additional protection depending on the application. The design can be extended with calibration, filtering, fault handling, data logging, and a dashboard when required. Hardware ratings, electrical isolation, power regulation, and application-specific safety limits should be selected for the actual implementation; the project is intended as an educational and prototyping reference rather than a certified product.
