Abstract
Material handling automation is a key area of industrial engineering and mechatronics. This project presents a Remote Controlled Mini Forklift designed to demonstrate wireless vehicle control combined with a vertical lifting mechanism for picking and placing loads.
The system consists of a robust chassis with differential or independent drive motors, a vertical mast or scissor/lead-screw lift assembly driven by a dedicated motor, and an RF remote for simultaneous control of locomotion and fork height. The compact form factor makes it ideal for laboratory demonstration and student evaluation.
It is an excellent final-year project for Mechanical, Mechatronics and Robotics students, integrating mechanical design, motor control, wireless communication and basic automation concepts.
